Review: Julep Essential Cuticle Oil

Giveaway winner announced! Continue reading.....

I feel bad that I brushed off this cuticle oil yesterday. When I put it on, I thought "meh." but as the day went on, I noticed that my cuticles are dry and actually they looked pretty good. I was using Qtica before but there were still cracks, and looked pretty nasty. But with just one time use of Julep Essential Cuticle Oil, they are looking back to normal. I moved from a dry state to a even drier state. Like I said last post, I really liked the roller ball. I don't know how to describe the scent but it's not like any of other oils I've used. It's not bad or strong. If you put on hand lotions afterwards, you can't tell at all.

The major downside to this cuticle oil is the price, $18 for .28 oz! I am not sure how long it will last me, I am putting it on 2-3 a day. You don't have to, I just love putting on lotions and creme.

Now on to the announcement, this is strictly a facebook giveaway, you have to be a fan of my facebook page to win. If you are not a fan yet, head on over!

The winner is.....

Review: Lovely ME:EX Nail Polish Remover

To be totally honest, this was a impulse buy. I thought the bottle is cute and it has a small opening for dispensing the remover. The pink smells like strawberry and the purple smells like lavender. When we asked how much they were, the sales girl said "two dollars." I thought, oh! That's not bad. But now that I am thinking about it at home, 2 dollars for a tiny bottle of polish remover is pretty expensive....

The solution is mild, the smell is minimal. It's comparable to Zoya's remove+ but not as strong. It removed glitter polish like a champ.  The Lovely ME:EX remover does have acetone in it but didn't dry out my skin. $2 for a 100 ml bottle is pretty steep compared to other brands but I was on vacation! Even if I want to get more, I wouldn't be able to. I think I will reserve these for glitter polishes and use my Beauty Secrets polish remover for everything else.

Most of you will not be able to find this polish remover because I found it in a Korean beauty boutique called The Face Shop. I found this store in CA while visiting family over the holidays. They do have a website but it's in Korean. I tried using Google translator but no success. On Wikipedia, it says they have stores on the west coast and you can also find their products at Walgreens, but I've never seen it before. If you do, let me know!
